Spiritual Life

At Trinity Christian School we strive to come alongside parents as they seek to rear their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.  It is our privilege to participate in God’s plan for each of our students and to play an active part in his/her spiritual formation.

We use a variety of interactions and activities to plant the seeds of God’s love and His Truth in the hearts and minds of our students.  Students in preschool, grammar school, and middle school begin the day with pledges and prayer.  They share prayer requests and learn to pray with and for one another.  Through a solid Bible curriculum, they are guided daily through the Scriptures, utilizing engaging presentations, hands-on activities, and Scripture memory to implant the truths of the Word of God and to shape godly character.  As we encourage our students to love God and others, we provide opportunities for them to exercise their faith through service projects.  These projects allow them to shine the light of Christ in our community.

We have two Chapel services each week, one for students in the grammar school and one for students in the middle school.  During chapel the students sing worship songs and have a short time of interactive Bible study. Most chapel speakers are pastors who serve churches in our local community.  They present God’s word through a variety of techniques and visual tools.  The students love seeing their pastors teach at their school!

H.I.S. Hearts in Service Outreach

“For even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45 NIV

Hearts in Service (H.I.S.) is Trinity Christian School’s outreach group.  Within our mission at Trinity, we strive to develop the whole person for the glory of God.  A giving spirit is foundational to our future Christian leaders and most effectively developed from childhood.  Through these opportunities to serve our community, we can grow the heart of service in our students an early age.

In 2013-2014 we will be serving again with Hands of Hope for Life to touch the lives of mothers, babies, and young children in our community.

  • September/October- “A Mile of Baby Wipes” for Hands of Hope
  • November/December-“Tiny Angel tickets” for Hands of Hope
  • January/February-“Shower of Blessing” students choice for Hands of Hope
  • April/May-Coin drive for “Walk for Life” for Hands of Hope

Please contact Christina LaFon @ 305-3373 or Amy Camp @ 429-2703 for more information or to be more involved in Hearts of Service.

Operation Shine

Operation Shine is our annual day of service.  On this day all of our students from preschool through 8th grade participate in activities that give back to our community.  We want to shine the light of Christ to our world.  Our theme verse for the year is “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven,” Matthew 5:16.  More than 150 people will donate over 600 hours to twelve different organizations on this day.  Our vision statement is, “Preparing tomorrow’s leaders for life academically, spiritually, and socially.”  By working in our community our students are learning about and addressing the needs of others, living their faith, and interacting with those around them.

In 2013 our students worked with the following organizations:

  • Preschool- Child Evangelism Fellowship
  • Kindergarten and Second Grade- Community in Schools Backpack Program
  • First Grade- Delivered snacks to area Police and Fire Departments
  • 2nd Grade- Community in Schools Backpack program and cleaned the school grounds
  • Third Grade- Grace of God Rescue Mission
  • Fourth Grade- Life Care Adult Daycare
  • Fifth Grade- Yokefellow
  • Middle School- Hospice
