Student Life
Spiritual Life
At Trinity Christian School we strive to come alongside parents as they seek to rear their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It is our privilege to participate in God's plan for each of our students and to play an active part in his/her spiritual formation.
We use a variety of interactions and activities to plant the seeds of God's love and His Truth in the hearts and minds of our students. Students in preschool, grammar school, and middle school begin the day with pledges and prayer. They share prayer requests and learn to pray with and for one another. Through a solid Bible curriculum, they are guided daily through the Scriptures, utilizing engaging presentations, hands-on activities, and Scripture memory to implant the truths of the Word of God and to shape godly character. As we encourage our students to love God and others, we provide opportunities for them to exercise their faith through service projects. These projects allow them to shine the light of Christ in our community.
Chapel
We have two Chapel services each week, one for students in the grammar school and one for students in the middle school. During chapel the students sing worship songs and have a short time of interactive Bible study. Most chapel speakers are pastors who serve churches in our local community. They present God’s word through a variety of techniques and visual tools. The students love seeing their pastors teach at their school!
Operation Shine
Operation Shine is our annual day of service. On this day all of our students from preschool through 9th grade participate in activities that give back to our community. We want to shine the light of Christ to our world. More than 150 people will donate over 600 hours to twelve different organizations on this day. Our vision statement is, "Preparing tomorrow's leaders for life academically, spiritually, and socially." By working in our community our students are learning about and addressing the needs of others, living their faith, and interacting with those around them.
Some of the organizations our students have served include the following:
Child Evangelism Fellowship
Community in Schools Backpack Program
Delivered snacks to area Police and Fire Departments
Grace of God Rescue Mission
Life Care Adult Daycare
Yokefellow
Hospice
South Mountain Christian Camp
Local Nursing Homes
